Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 3-lb whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Combine flour and seasonings in a large zip-top bag.
  2. Add chicken and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Chill floured chicken on a rack for 45 minutes.
  4. Re-coat chicken in flour mixture.
  5. Heat oil to 375°F and fry chicken until golden and 165°F internally.
  6. Drain and keep warm in a low oven.
