Method
- In a bowl, whisk together oil, chili powder, lime juice, honey, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.
- Place chicken strips into a resealable bag or bowl.
- Pour marinade over chicken and coat thoroughly.
- Seal and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from marinade and discard marinade.
- Cook chicken 8–10 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Rest 5 minutes before serving.

- Add cayenne pepper for extra heat
- Substitute fresh minced garlic for garlic powder
- Chicken thighs make a juicier option
