Easy Baked Italian Chicken

Juicy chicken breasts marinated in Italian dressing and baked until tender. The easiest 3-ingredient dinner recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1 16 oz bottle Italian-style salad dressing

Method
 

  1. Pierce chicken breasts several times with a fork.
  2. Place chicken in a zip bag and pour Italian dressing over it.
  3. Seal and marinate in refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Remove chicken from marinade and place in greased baking dish.
  6. Discard leftover marinade.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour, turning occasionally.
  8. Cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Marinate overnight for best flavor
  • Add cheese during last 10 minutes for variation
  • Slice thick breasts for even cooking
