Ingredients
  

  • Cooking spray
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 ¼ cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 4 chicken tenders or 2 chicken breasts cut into strips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking tray with foil. Spray lightly.
  2. Beat egg in a shallow bowl.
  3. Mix panko, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper in a bag or bowl.
  4. Dip chicken into egg, then coat in breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place coated chicken on baking tray.
  6. Spray tops lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Bake 7 minutes, flip and bake another 7 minutes.
  8. Broil 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness.
  9. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use panko for best crunch
  • Do not overcrowd tray
  • Broiling step improves texture
  • Internal temp must reach 165°F (74°C)
